The
first time I saw an Impala: |
I put blinders on in '94
after reading about them in Car and Driver. I knew if I
saw one up close in personal I'd have done something stupid
before I could afford to. Then when the time came, I
looked at Impalas from one end of Indiana to the other, before
settling on the very FIRST dealer I started with. The
first time I really -SAW- Impalas was that show in Feb. '97,
THAT was when the wheels started turning! They've been
humming along ever since. |

The Wagon call!
|
"I bought my '96 BBB, w/
24 miles, June 28, 1996, in Indiana. I moved back to FL in
January '97 and attended my first car show in February. My
car was all stock. There were 26 Impalas at that show and I
was floored by all the possibilities I was seeing! That was
the last time my car was ever "stock." I
discovered that there wasn't a local chapter of the SS club and
after organizing a 13 car turn out at the Moosehaven show in '97,
I was "sworn in" as The Warden of the JAILerSS.
When I'm not cleaning,
waxing, modding, racing, repairing, showing, or "burning up
the track," I'm working for CSX as a Train Dispatcher,
basically, a "Rail Traffic Controller." In my
(little) spare time, I enjoy golf with family, friends, and
coworkers, and bowl on a CSX Tuesday Night League."
